The new office bearers of the Confederation of Information Technology Association (Confed-ITA) are almost decided. The new team will assume office for FY14.

The new office bearers of the Confederation of Information Technology Association (Confed-ITA) are almost decided. The new team will assume office for FY14.

According to believable sources from Confed-ITA, Muthiah Pillai, who was the secretary of the association during FY11, is likely to become the president this time. Pillai hails from Tirunelveli and belongs to the Computers Dealers Association of Tirunelveli (CDAT). The region is eligible for the presidential candidate election, according to the ‘round-robin' system of the association.

Other office bearers who are likely to assume charge are: C Arumugam (secretary) from Vellore Information Technology Association (VAIT), Manikandan Perumal (treasurer) from Salem Information Technology Association, Ramesh Ramanujam (joint secretary-1) from Computer Sellers and Welfare Association of Dindigul and Sujay Vijayan (joint secretary-2) from Cholamandalam Information Technology Association.

The aforesaid members are nominated unanimously; official information from the association is yet to come.
