VAIT conducts seminar on cloud computing

Vellore Association of Information Technology (VAIT) has conducted their General body meeting on recently along with a technical seminar on cloud computing.

C Suresh Babu, Networth Systems was the resource person. He elaborately discussed about the Cloud Computing explaining about the services available in Cloud Computing and also about the leading Service Providers. He also explained on the technical terms and the technologies involved in cloud-focusing and the potential available on the same. Addressing to the members, he defined the business opportunities, which can be provided as value added services to the end customers. Speaking about the commercials, he defined cloud as very much economical, since it is requires only light weight desktops to be deployed at the customer end and we can rent the infrastructure, platform and software from the providers. He also stressed that maintenance is very much simplified.

Concluding the seminar, the association had discussed about the activities of our association which included that the main agenda about the association's Expo which has been slated to be conducted between 12th and 14th October, 2012. During the, meeting the association also presented the budget and got the approval from everyone. "The Great Vellore Bazaar - 2012" is the name of the expo for which the office bearers and members are preparing in finalizing the stalls and sponsors for the event.

It also has to be noted that the association which is known for the regular activities has made a resolution to conduct technical seminars in every General Body (GB) meeting and had recently concluded session on structured cabling.
