SMART unveils India-made interactive learning panels
SMART Technologies has announced its first India-made interactive flat panels during an exclusive launch at DIDAC 2025 in New Delhi. The release marks a key step in the company’s manufacturing strategy and aligns with national priorities centred on Make in India and digital learning.
The announcement was made during a media briefing held on 20 November 2025, bringing together leaders from SMART’s global operations, educators, AV and IT partners, and media representatives. The company positioned the launch as part of a broader plan to increase its local presence and support for schools, universities, and corporate training environments.
Features designed for the India market
Attendees at the event were given a first-hand look at the new interactive display manufactured in India. According to the company, the panel features improved energy efficiency, enhanced annotation through SMART Ink, and streamlined workflows powered by Lumio’s AI capabilities.
A detailed presentation highlighted the wider product ecosystem, including SMART Board GX Plus, Lumio’s AI Assist, and the support framework designed for education users. The showcase focused on how the new capabilities fit the needs of real classrooms and support long-term digital adoption.
The company stated that its manufacturing operations for the India market are based in Andhra Pradesh, forming the base for its long-term local production plans.
