Logitech launches Signature Slim Solar+ K980 keyboard in India

Logitech has introduced the Signature Slim Solar+ K980, a wireless keyboard powered entirely by light, whether sunlight or indoor lighting, eliminating the need for cables, chargers, or battery replacements. Designed for users who want simplicity, reliability and a clean, modern desk setup, the K980 uses Logitech’s proprietary Logi LightCharge technology to stay powered continuously and operate for up to four months in complete darkness.

Art O'Gnimh, General Manager of Logitech’s Core Products Group, highlighted the keyboard’s role in reducing everyday friction. He noted that even the mental load of remembering to charge a device can disrupt workflow, and the Solar+ K980 solves this by staying powered through any light source, offering an uninterrupted and elegant workspace experience.

Sustainability is built directly into the device. The graphite edition uses 70% certified post-consumer recycled plastic, and its rechargeable battery is engineered to last up to 10 years, preventing unnecessary waste while maintaining long-term performance. These choices support Logitech’s broader Design for Sustainability commitment.

The Signature Slim Solar+ features a familiar laptop-style typing experience, full-size layout with a number pad, and a slim, low-profile design crafted for minimal desk clutter. With multi-OS compatibility and the ability to switch between three devices using Easy-Switch keys, it seamlessly adapts to hybrid work environments. Users can further personalise workflows using the Logi Options+ app, assigning Smart Actions or launching AI tools such as Copilot, Gemini or ChatGPT with the dedicated AI Launch Key.

Priced at Rs 12,295 and available in a graphite colour variant, the Signature Slim Solar+ K980 is engineered for business professionals, remote workers and anyone seeking a premium, maintenance-free typing experience powered sustainably by light.
