Vellore association to conduct IT Expo

Vellore Association of Information Technology (VAIT) has proposed to conduct "The Great Vellore Bazaar" expo for the sixth time in Vellore in October.

Speaking to The DQ Week, K.Bhaskaran, president, VAIT, said, " Like in the previous expos, members of VAIT alone will be allowed to participate in the event. Total number of stalls estimated are around 70. The remaining unfilled ones will be allotted to outsiders to exhibit products not coming in the category of IT and allied class."

He also added that vendors will be invited by VAIT through their member channel partners to take part in the expo. "Other interested vendors, who does not have representation in Vellore, will be guided to align with a partner so as to take part in the expo and exhibit their products," said Bhaskaran adding that anti-virus products have a great market in the region and nearly 1 lakh people are expected to attend the event.

"Apart from stall participation, the vendors will also be entitled to take part as title-cum-main sponsor or co-sponsor for the event. The vendor's logo will be carried over in all advertisement campaigns, banners and allotment of prime location stalls. The advertisement will be floated in 5 daily news papers covering old North Arcot District (Vellore District and Thiruvannamalai District)," he added.

Bhaskaran further informed that the event will be also promoted through the flash-ads in local TV channels and banners will be displayed in prime locations like colleges in and around Vellore and neighboring towns.
