GIGABYTE debuts AI-powered X870E AORUS X3D motherboard

GIGABYTE Technology has launched its latest AMD Socket AM5 motherboard, the X870E AORUS X3D, designed for gamers, professionals and PC enthusiasts. Packed with AI-driven features, advanced thermal design, and user-focused innovations, the new motherboard is positioned as a breakthrough in high-performance PC building.

At the heart of the new board lies X3D Turbo Mode 2.0, an AI-powered system that dynamically optimises performance. According to the company, it can boost gaming output by up to 25 per cent in real time, adapting to workloads for both gaming and productivity.

Memory performance also receives a leap forward with D5 Bionic Corsa technology, enabling DDR5 speeds of up to 9000 MT/s through AI-assisted tuning. Combined with precision PCB Back Drilling Technology on an 8-layer board, the motherboard promises stable, interference-free data transfer and enhanced reliability.

Power delivery is managed by a digital twin 18+2+2 phases VRM solution, ensuring clean and stable output for AMD Ryzen 9000, 8000, and 7000 Series processors.

Advanced thermal design

To handle intensive workloads, the board integrates VRM Thermal Armor Advanced with direct-touch heatpipe cooling, a PCB Thermal Plate delivering 14 per cent better thermal efficiency, and M.2 EZ-Flex technology for SSD cooling with flexible configurations. Smarter BIOS and diagnostics

The new UC BIOS 2.0 redefines system interaction with one-click screenshots, a quick search function, direct BIOS navigation, and Smart 80 Port Diagnostics that merge POST codes with real-time thermal monitoring. These features aim to make configuration and troubleshooting more accessible, even for less experienced users.

Future-ready connectivity

Connectivity options include dual USB4 Type-C ports with DisplayPort Alt mode, HDMI output, Quick Charge USB delivering 65W power, 10GbE and 5GbE LAN ports, and Wi-Fi 7 with high-gain directional antenna for stronger coverage.
