BenQ redefines Studio Precision with PD2770U’s debut at Broadcast India 2025
BenQ, a professional visual display technology provider, has unveiled the PD2770U, a 27-inch 4K professional monitor that marks a breakthrough in studio-grade colour management. The launch, which took place at Broadcast India 2025, positions India as the first global market for BenQ’s latest innovation, underscoring the country’s growing importance in the media and post-production ecosystem.
“Until now, achieving professional-grade colour accuracy required expensive hardware calibrators and time-consuming setup,” said Rajeev Singh, Managing Director, BenQ India. “With the PD2770U, we’ve built the calibration engine directly into the display, giving small studios and creators the same mastering-level colour precision used by major production houses, in a single, accessible device.”
Professional Accuracy, Now Built In
At the core of the PD2770U is BenQ’s first-ever Built-in Calibration System, which uses Light-Adaptive Calibration to automatically adjust colour accuracy based on real-time studio lighting conditions. The system ensures consistent, long-term performance without external hardware.
The PD2770U supports 99% Adobe RGB, 99% DCI-P3, and 100% Rec. .709 colour spaces, delivering ultra-precise visuals for post-production, design, and broadcast workflows.
Certified Pantone Validated, Pantone SkinTone, and Calman Verified, the monitor guarantees seamless colour consistency across multiple media outputs, from print to digital broadcast.
Centralised Control for Team-Wide Consistency
For multi-workstation environments, the PD2770U introduces RJ45 LAN connectivity and DMS Local software for centralised management. This allows studios to synchronise colour calibration and system profiles across multiple units, maintaining uniform visual output and workflow consistency across editing bays and grading rooms.
This level of control ensures that every colour-critical task, whether compositing, grading, or digital finishing, maintains exact alignment with the master output.
Designed for Creative Focus
Purpose-built for professional environments, the PD2770U includes:
Nano Matte Panel for glare reduction and true-to-life contrast.
Magnetic shading hood for light isolation during grading.
Display Pilot 2 software featuring ICCsync, screen partitioning, and one-click mode switching.
Hotkey Puck G3 controller for tactile control of display functions and workflow shortcuts.
These refinements enable precision-driven productivity, allowing artists, editors, and colourists to focus on creativity instead of calibration.
The New Standard for Studio-Grade Precision
With the PD2770U, BenQ bridges the gap between accessibility and professional color fidelity, empowering small studios, freelancers, and independent creators to achieve broadcast-level accuracy without the complexity or cost of external tools.
The monitor will be available starting November 2025 across leading broadcast and photography retail outlets, as well as the official BenQ India website.
Strategic Takeaway
BenQ’s PD2770U democratises studio-grade colour management with an integrated calibration engine and centralised control tools, setting a new benchmark for visual consistency, collaboration, and creative precision in India’s fast-growing content production market.
