ASUS expands gaming portfolio in India with new RTX 5050-powered laptops
ASUS India has further strengthened its position in the gaming segment by unveiling two new laptops – the TUF Gaming F16 and the refreshed ROG Strix G16 – both powered by the newly launched NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5050 GPU. With this launch, ASUS aims to make AI-powered, high-performance gaming more accessible to a wider audience across India.
Following the recent launch of the RTX 5070, the introduction of the RTX 5050 lineup signifies ASUS’s commitment to offering next-gen graphics capabilities at multiple price points. The move is designed to cater to mainstream gamers, aspiring creators, and users looking for performance-driven devices.
The ROG Strix G16 (G615) is powered by the Intel Core i7-14650HX processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5050 8GB GPU. It features a 16-inch 2.5K ROG Nebula anti-glare display with a 240Hz refresh rate, 100% DCI-P3 colour accuracy, and 500 nits peak brightness. Supporting 16GB DDR5 RAM and a 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD, the laptop is built for competitive gaming and multitasking. It also includes a 4-zone RGB keyboard and a 90WHr battery. The device is priced at ₹1,59,990.
The refreshed ROG Strix G16 (G614) now comes equipped with the RTX 5050 GPU and is powered by the AMD Ryzen 9 8940HX processor, boasting up to 16 TOPS AI performance. It offers a 16-inch WUXGA display with a 165Hz refresh rate and 100% sRGB colour accuracy. The addition of a dedicated Copilot key underscores ASUS’s focus on AI-enhanced productivity. This variant starts at ₹1,44,990.
The newly launched TUF Gaming F16 targets emerging gamers and multitaskers, combining affordability with performance. It features the Intel Core i5-13450HX CPU paired with the RTX 5050 8GB GPU. The 16-inch FHD+ anti-glare display offers a 165Hz refresh rate and 100% sRGB coverage. It includes a backlit keyboard with Copilot support and a 90WHr battery. The TUF F16 is priced from ₹1,24,990.
With the inclusion of AI-powered hardware and gaming-optimised displays, ASUS continues to push forward in the competitive Indian gaming market.
