Ai+ Pulse 2 budget smartphone debuts
Ai+ Smartphone has launched the Pulse 2 budget smartphone in India, positioning it as a step forward from its predecessor with upgrades in battery, display, camera and software. The device will go on sale on Flipkart from March 11 at 12 PM.
Pulse 2 is available in two variants: 4GB + 64GB and 6GB + 128GB. As a 24-hour introductory offer, the 4GB + 64GB model is priced at Rs 5,999 and the 6GB + 128GB variant at Rs 7,999.
Building on the first generation
Pulse 2 follows the launch of Pulse 1, which marked Ai+ Smartphone’s entry into the market in July 2025 alongside Nova 5G. The brand states that the new model builds on features users rely on most.
Madhav Sheth, CEO, Ai+ Smartphone and Founder, NxtQuantum Shift Technologies, said the device focuses on core essentials such as camera capability, battery performance and a smooth software experience, while keeping pricing accessible.
Camera upgrades and imaging focus
On the rear, Pulse 2 retains the 50MP Dual AI camera setup introduced in Pulse 1. The key change is in the front camera, upgraded from 5MP to 8MP.
The company states that this improvement is aimed at delivering clearer selfies and better detail across varying lighting conditions, including indoor and outdoor scenarios. The rear setup continues to support AI-assisted image processing.
Larger battery, similar form factor
Battery capacity sees a significant increase. Pulse 1 featured a 5000mAh unit, while Pulse 2 moves to a 6000mAh Li-polymer battery with support for 18W fast charging.
The device is designed to handle longer usage periods including streaming, browsing, gaming and multitasking. Despite the larger battery, the company indicates that the form factor remains slim.
Display and durability improvements
The display refresh rate has been upgraded from 90Hz on Pulse 1 to 120Hz on Pulse 2. The device features a 6.745-inch HD+ V-Notch display with 400 nits minimum brightness and 450 nits typical brightness, with high brightness mode support and 10-point touch.
Durability has also been enhanced. Pulse 2 carries an IP64 rating, an improvement over the IP54 rating on the earlier model. This provides stronger resistance against dust and water splashes in everyday conditions.
Updated software platform
On the software front, Pulse 2 runs Android 16 on NxtQuantum OS out of the box. In comparison, Pulse 1 launched with Android 15 on the same operating system layer.
The updated platform is positioned to offer improved system efficiency, responsiveness and interface consistency. The device is powered by the Unisoc T7250 processor, a 1.8GHz octa-core chipset built on a 12nm process. Memory options include LPDDR4x RAM paired with eMMC storage.
Design and colour options
Pulse 2 introduces a refreshed design language with changes in aesthetics and in-hand comfort. It will be available in five colour options: Green, Blue, Pink, Purple and Black.
The product continues Ai+ Smartphone’s stated focus on value-driven devices aimed at everyday usability.
Market positioning
With entry pricing under Rs 8,000 during the launch window, the Ai+ Pulse 2 budget smartphone targets first-time smartphone users and value-conscious buyers seeking incremental improvements in battery, display smoothness and durability.
The launch reinforces the brand’s strategy of focusing on practical specifications and competitive pricing in the entry-level segment.
