OPPO launches K13 Turbo Series with new features in gaming smartphones

OPPO has unveiled its latest K13 Turbo Series, a performance-driven smartphone lineup designed to cater to gamers and power users. With advanced chipsets, innovative cooling systems, and enhanced audio-visual features, the series aims to stay ahead of the mobile gaming standards in 2025.

Oppo K13 Turbo Series New Models

The OPPO K13 Turbo Series introduces two models, the K13 Turbo Pro and the K13 Turbo, both engineered to deliver sustained high performance.

• K13 Turbo Pro is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, offering a 31% boost in CPU and a 49% uplift in GPU performance over its predecessor. It comes with a next-gen NPU for efficient AI tasks, on-device Gemini AI capabilities, and support for Wi-Fi 7 and 5G speeds up to 4.2 Gbps.

• K13 Turbo, equipped with MediaTek’s Dimensity 8450, uses an All-Big Core Architecture to deliver up to 41% better multi-core performance while consuming 40% less power. Its ARM G720 MC7 GPU ensures smoother graphics with sustained high FPS performance.

Both devices are designed to balance raw performance with thermal efficiency, making them suitable not only for gaming but also for demanding multitasking and AI-powered productivity.

Advanced cooling for long-term gaming

To address thermal throttling during extended sessions, the series debuts an active + passive cooling system, featuring a cooling exhaust fan and a large vapour chamber. Combined with OPPO’s Storm Engine optimisation platform, the system lowers peak device temperatures by up to 4°C compared to rival smartphones.

Internal testing showed the K13 Turbo Pro sustaining 120 FPS for three hours under controlled conditions, outperforming devices powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.

Gaming visuals and immersive audio

The K13 Turbo Pro leverages Qualcomm’s Super Frame + Super Resolution pipeline to boost frame rates and upscale graphics in real time. Features include:

• Ultra-high frame rates for smoother gameplay.

• HDR effects for cinematic visual quality.

• High-resolution rendering for clarity in open-world and FPS titles.

For audio, both models come with dual stereo speakers and OPPO’s OReality Audio, offering spatial sound to enhance immersion and competitive awareness in gaming scenarios.

Pro-grade touch response

To ensure precise control, the K13 Turbo Series integrates the Synopsys 3910P flagship touch IC. Features like Gaming Hot Zones, Splash Touch, and Glove Mode ensure accurate multi-finger responses, even in challenging conditions such as sweaty hands, moisture, or while using accessories.

Added tools for gamers

OPPO’s Game Assistant introduces features designed for competitive play:

• One-Tap Replay to capture and share gameplay highlights instantly.

• Silent Launch for discreet game entry without sound or pop-ups.

• Footstep Enhancer to amplify directional cues for titles like BGMI and Call of Duty: Mobile.

Oppo raising the bar for gaming smartphones

With the K13 Turbo Series, OPPO aims to deliver India’s only smartphone in its segment with an integrated cooling fan and sustained flagship-class performance. The devices seek to set a new standard for thermal control, responsiveness, and immersive gaming in 2025.
