Samsung launches Galaxy F36 5G in India with AI and leather finish
Samsung has launched its latest smartphone, the Galaxy F36 5G, in the Indian market. The device brings together AI-powered tools, a premium leather-textured finish, and segment-specific enhancements aimed at younger consumers.
Design and Build
The Galaxy F36 5G features a leather-finish rear panel and is available in three colours: Luxe Violet, Coral Red and Onyx Black. It has a slim profile at 7.7mm and includes Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ for added screen durability. The design targets users looking for both aesthetic appeal and practical protection.
Display and Visual Experience
The phone is equipped with a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display. It supports a 120Hz refresh rate and incorporates Vision Booster technology to improve readability in outdoor lighting conditions. The display is designed for multimedia consumption, gaming and general usage under varied lighting environments.
Camera and Imaging Features
The Galaxy F36 5G includes a triple rear camera setup with a 50MP main sensor that supports Optical Image Stabilisation. The device also offers Auto Night Mode and AI stereo depth mapping, which enhances low-light photography and night portraits. Users can capture 4K resolution video from both the front and rear cameras.
Additional AI-based camera tools include Object Eraser, which allows users to remove unwanted subjects from photos, Image Clipper for isolating subjects from the background, and Edit Suggestions, which offers AI-generated photo and video editing ideas.
AI and Software Capabilities
Samsung has added Circle to Search with Google, allowing users to search by circling content on the screen. The Galaxy F36 5G also features Gemini Live, which enables real-time conversations with Google’s Gemini AI assistant through voice, camera or screen sharing. This function supports brainstorming, topic exploration and practice scenarios in a conversational format.
The phone runs on One UI 7 and will receive six generations of Android OS upgrades along with six years of security updates. This extended software support places the device in line with other long-term Android offerings.
Performance and Hardware
The device is powered by the Exynos 1380 processor built on a 5nm process. It includes a vapor cooling chamber to support heat management during extended use, especially while gaming or multitasking. The phone comes with a 5000mAh battery and supports 25W fast charging.
Local Features and Security
The Galaxy F36 5G supports made-in-India features such as Voice Focus, which enhances call clarity by reducing ambient noise. Quick Share allows wireless file transfers between Galaxy devices, including phones, laptops and tablets.
The device also comes with Samsung Knox Vault, a hardware-based security platform that protects sensitive data against both hardware and software threats. Samsung Wallet integration with Tap and Pay is also included for secure transactions.
