Zebra searches for more partners

The company aims to improve its brand presence and market share in these cities

Zebra Technologies is geared up to appoint new channel partners to its bandwagon in B and C class cities across the country. Also, the company is planning to conduct pan-india multiple city event in India.

Sachin Tare, head, India subcontinent, Zebra Technologies said, "This year our plan is to establish our brand in the B and C class cities. We intend to improve our brand presence and market share in these cities and for the same we are evaluating partners in these regions. We are looking at recruiting at least 40-45 partners from IT-ITES business background."

To facilitate its operations, the company has divided the country primarily into five regions which includes West, North East, South 1 (Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh) and South 2 (Kerala and Tamil Nadu). The areas will have regional managers who take care of these markets. Tare said, "We have asked our regional managers to cover at least 2-3 cities in B and C class cities in each region. We have a vertical centric approach in each region." He further added the agenda is towards visibility improvement.

Apart from appointing new partners, the company also intends to conduct various knowledge and product training programs for partners in B and C class cities. The company has already identified cities like Nagpur, Indore, Kolhapur, Pune, Surat, Anand, Mangalore, Hubli, Coimbatore, Cochin, Vizag, Guwahati, Gangtok, Lucknow, Trivandrum, among others, for the same. "This is not the final list, we would be including more cities depending on time and resource availability. We plan to conduct events in these places while will also evaluate partners to be appointed in these markets," informed Tare.

In addition, the company is also conducting a 4 city event in Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, and Delhi for its partners. Tare said, "In these cities, we already have a strong presence and we will be conducting refresher courses for our partners updating them about new products and solutions."
