The DQ Week PPL awards concludes in Delhi

The event was graced by more than 300 channel partners from across the north region, with the set of awards spread across 39 different categories

After the successful completion of Annual Premier Partner League Awards in Mumbai, Kolkata and Bangalore, the much-awaited 14th Premier Partner League Awards, 2012 concluded in Delhi, at Hotel Crown Plaza, Okhla on August 24, amid great pomp and fanfare. The event saw the presence of the distinguished audience comprising VARs, SIs and channel partners from across the north region.

Formerly known as The Annual DQ Week Awards, the event was graced by more than 300 channel partners from across the north region, with the set of awards spread across 39 different categories encompassing 10 states in the North.

Every year, the DQ Week annual awards are decided by an independent jury which comprises of eminent personalities,closely aligned with the channel, of the IT industry. The awards are decided after a long process of discussion and deliberation amongst the jury members with the panel shortlisting candidates based on parameters including partner topline, business ethics, payment history, spread of portfolio and innovations.

In the 14th DQ Week Awards, channel partners from the entire northern region encompassing Jammu& Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Chandigarh, Delhi& NCR, Uttrakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, Haryana were evaluated and presented with the honorific awards based on their performance as well as reputation among other parameters. The award categories ranged from the best channel partner, best system integrator, best reseller, best sub-distributor and many more.

The event was sponsored by Digisol, Vidyo, Ricoh, Western Digital, BPE, Uniline, Cyberoam NetGenie, Unistal, Funtab, Trend Micro, Asttecs and Rashi Peripherals. The association partner for the occasion were Delhi based All Delhi Computer Traders Association(ADCTA), PCAIT and CMDA Delhi.

The event started with the lighting the lamp by the associations' president. It was then followed with the opening remarks by Rajneesh De, executive editor of The DQ Week and DQ Channels. While welcoming the gathering, he elaborated upon the change in the new branding of the awards and introduction of new categories. He also touched upon the recent initiatives undertaken by The DQ Week. The event was then marked by sponsors' presentations and a lucky draw.

This year, the late Ashish Memorial coveted Award, which was jointly instituted by PCAIT and The DQ Week was bagged by Sunic Technologies, and CMDA Delhi award was given to Prodot Group.

Besides PCAIT and CMDA Delhi, ADCTA partnered with The DQ Week awards for the first time. Jointly, ADCTA and The DQ Week instituted Star Partner 2012 award, which was bagged by Rx Infotech.

The highlight of the awards was the announcement of reward worth Rs 3 lakh, by the ADCTA. The association sponsored a trip to Europe for the award winner, Rx Infotech.

Also, in the PPL Awards, based on the Channel Association Survey conducted jointly by DQ Channels and CyberMedia Research, Jammu Computer Dealers Association was felicitated at the award ceremony as the Best Channel Association - North. It also needs to be emphasized that JCDA had ranked 8th at the pan India level in the same survey.

Lastly, based on highest online voting, the most popular partner awards for Jaipur and Delhi were lifted by ETSC Computers and Kadam Marketing.

It was a momentous day for the award winners who were filled with sense of joy and pride while others looked forward to the next DQ Week PPL Awards, 2013. The ceremony was followed by a gala dinner.
