Sainik Kalyan Training & Certification Function inaugurated

Major General Sajiv Jetley,Vishistha Sewa Medal and general officer in Commanding (GOC),Bihar and Jharkhand inaugurated the valedictory function and distributed certificates for successful trainees of Patna and Arrah centres at Astric-Centre of Excellence, Khajpura, Patna. Speaking on the occasion major general urged the trainees to get maximum advantage of welfare scheme sponsored by Government of Bihar, as such opportunities do not come often in one's lifetime. It is not a easy task to think of future, without knowledge of Computer. In order to join the mainstream, one need to have a knowledge of computer. He appreciated this unique initiative of Sainik Welfare Directorate and Department of Home which will surely help in resettlement and re-employment of ex-servicemen in a big way.

GOC, Bihar and Jharkhand, major general Sajiv Jetley, VSM appreciated the innovation in Astric-Centre of Excellence and asked Director Rimjhim Singh to plan for the war widows and women folks. Singh told the participants that it is part of our commitment and mission to ensure inclusive growth and development to bring the ex-servicemen and their dependents into mainstreams who have served the country by training and capacity building for them to settle themselves in ITeS field. She expressed happiness over the Bihar's government decision to add accounting module based on feedback and suggestions received from trainees of last batches. The results are encouraging and we are looking forward to further assist the new batches based on market and industry requirements.

CEO, Astric Group Anindya Kumar Banerjee welcomed the guests and said, “We have been requesting the state government to give priority in vacancies for these skilled Ex-Servicemen and their dependents in all ITeS job vacancies put forward by the state government and its societies and corporations. They are known for their discipline and respect for time, work allotted and we can only return respect in the best possible manner by provisioning with best training, best trainers and best course materials over and above ample practical time even after course completion.”

Colonel Retired Pramod Kumar, secretary, District Sainik Board, Ara and Patna gave the overview of the program. He elaborated that the course content had package of MS Office, Internet and Tally which were adequate for re-employment as data entry operator. The trainees have shown warm response. He also wanted the students to encourage and rope in freshers in their locality for the course in future.

Lieutenant Colonel S.B.Lal guest of honor lauded the state Govt. initiative to enhance the computer knowledge and skill of all the retired defense personnel and their family members. He emphasized that such pro grammes will improve the life of ESM community.
