Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra gets One UI 8 Watch update
Samsung Electronics has announced the rollout of the One UI 8 Watch update for its Galaxy Watch Ultra in India, bringing the advanced health tracking and user interface improvements first seen on the Galaxy Watch8 series to a wider base of Galaxy smartwatch users.
The new update introduces features such as Running Coach, Vascular Load, and Antioxidant Index, designed to offer more meaningful insights to users aiming to build sustainable wellness habits. These tools support real-time motivation and health data interpretation, aimed at helping users meet their personal fitness goals.
Alongside the wellness enhancements, One UI 8 Watch brings significant changes to the user experience, with updates specifically optimised for smaller smartwatch screens. The Multi-Info Tiles allow users to customise what they see at a glance from fitness metrics and weather updates to calendar events, making it easier to stay informed throughout the day.
The Now Bar feature ensures seamless task switching by keeping ongoing apps easily accessible. These improvements aim to make everyday interactions smoother and more intuitive, complementing the rugged build and performance of the Galaxy Watch Ultra.
The Galaxy Watch Ultra continues to position itself as Samsung’s most capable wearable, tailored for outdoor enthusiasts and adventure-focused users. With a titanium frame and enhanced durability, the device is now available in four finishes, including the newly introduced Titanium Blue.
Meanwhile, Samsung also confirmed that the Galaxy Watch8 and Galaxy Watch8 Classic models, launched with One UI 8 Watch out of the box, will soon be available globally. The Galaxy Watch8 is designed with everyday comfort and wellness in mind, while the Watch8 Classic offers a more traditional watch design blended with advanced smart features.
A Samsung spokesperson said,
“With the One UI 8 Watch update, we are extending the Galaxy Watch8 experience to more users. These new health tools and smarter interface upgrades empower our users to stay motivated and in control of their wellbeing, with insights that are both accessible and actionable.”
The One UI 8 Watch update is now available for Galaxy Watch Ultra users. Samsung has confirmed that the Galaxy Watch8, Watch8 Classic, and the new Titanium Blue edition of the Galaxy Watch Ultra will be available in global markets in the coming weeks.
