Acer unveils AI-powered Predator Helios Neo 16 and 16S laptops

Acer has introduced the Predator Helios Neo 16 AI and Helios Neo 16S AI laptops in India, combining advanced AI features, high-end GPUs, and portable design. Prices start at R1,54,999.

Acer has launched two new additions to its Predator gaming laptop series in India, the Helios Neo 16 AI and the Helios Neo 16S AI. Designed for gamers, creators and professionals who require top-tier performance, the new models integrate cutting-edge artificial intelligence features and hardware in a sleek, high-performance package.

The Predator Helios Neo 16 AI offers desktop-level performance in a standard chassis, while the Helios Neo 16S AI, Acer’s slimmest Predator model to date. It aims to deliver ultra-portable gaming in a design under 18.9mm.

Predator Helios Neo 16 AI-optimised Laptops for gamers and creators

Both laptops are powered by up to Intel Core Ultra 9 processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Laptop GPUs. These systems are equipped with dedicated Neural Processing Units (NPUs), which allow users to offload AI tasks such as background blur, audio enhancement and image generation, ensuring uninterrupted performance while streaming, multitasking or gaming.

The laptops also support NVIDIA’s DLSS 4, 4th Gen Ray Tracing and Reflex 2 technologies, promising crisp visuals and high responsiveness during fast-paced gameplay.

The Helios Neo 16 AI features a 16-inch WQXGA IPS panel with a 240Hz refresh rate, 1ms response time, 500 nits brightness and full DCI-P3 colour gamut coverage. On the other hand, the Helios Neo 16S AI offers a WQXGA OLED display with deep blacks, sharp contrasts and a screen-to-body ratio of over 90%, all packed into a lightweight frame.

Both models support up to 64GB DDR5 RAM and 2TB PCIe Gen4 SSD storage, offering flexibility for content creators and gamers on the move.

Enhanced cooling and customisation

To keep thermals under control during demanding workloads, Acer has included its 5th Gen AeroBlade 3D fan technology, liquid metal thermal grease and vector heat pipes.

Users can customise the 4-zone RGB backlit keyboard and the RGB-illuminated cover logo through Acer’s PredatorSense utility. The built-in Copilot key provides one-touch access to system diagnostics, overclocking settings and AI tools.

This allows for seamless peripheral support and fast data transfers, making the devices suitable for both gaming and professional workflows.

The Predator Helios Neo 16 AI is priced from Rs 2,29,999, while the Helios Neo 16S AI starts at Rs 1,54,999. Both models will be available through Acer Exclusive Stores, the Acer E-store, Amazon, Flipkart, Croma, Reliance and Vijay Sales.
