OPPO introduces a new 5G option for everyday use
OPPO India has added a new device to its A series with the launch of the OPPO A6x 5G. The smartphone focuses on long battery life, steady performance and a smooth interface. It is positioned as an everyday companion for users who want a reliable 5G device at an accessible price point.
The A6x 5G is priced at Rs 12499 for 4GB+64GB, Rs 13499 for 4GB+128GB and Rs 14999 for 6GB+128GB. It is available across Amazon, Flipkart, OPPO Store and offline retail. The phone comes in Ice Blue and Olive Green, with a three-month no-cost EMI option on select bank cards.
Goldee Patnaik, Head of PR & Communications, OPPO India said, “At OPPO India, our focus has always been to create technology that genuinely supports people in their everyday lives. The OPPO A6x 5G is built to deliver long-lasting performance and dependable smoothness so users don’t have to worry about charging, lag, or interruptions—whether they’re working hard, staying connected, or relaxing after a long day. With a powerful battery, fast charging, and a seamless ColorOS experience, the A6x 5G is designed to keep up with real life and make technology feel effortless, reliable, and truly accessible”.
Power focus: large battery and fast charging
The device features a 6500mAh battery aimed at users who depend on long uptime. OPPO states that the battery can deliver up to 882.1 hours of standby time and 22.4 hours of video playback. The larger capacity is intended to reduce charge cycles and maintain consistent performance during heavy use.
The A6x 5G also supports 45W SUPERVOOCTM Flash Charge. According to OPPO, the phone can move from 1 percent to 41 percent in 30 minutes, which is aimed at users who need quick charging between tasks.
Performance and system-level optimisation
The smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 platform. It is positioned to deliver stable performance for multitasking and routine applications.
The device runs ColorOS 15 and introduces the Luminous Rendering Engine, which OPPO describes as a system-level animation framework using interruptible parallel animation technology. This is paired with the Trinity Engine for performance and power efficiency. Together, these aim to provide fluid transitions, steady responsiveness and long-term stability.
Full-Dimensional Scene Smoothness further optimises background activity and heavy-load tasks for consistent multitasking.
Display and visual experience
The A6x 5G carries a 120Hz Ultra Bright Display with a peak brightness of 1125 nits. The higher refresh rate is meant to support smoother scrolling and interactions across apps.
For gaming, the phone uses AI GameBoost for performance scheduling and power efficiency. Splash Touch mode enables screen control during scenarios where moisture may affect responsiveness. AI LinkBoost 3.0 manages real-time signal strength and aims to keep network performance stable in weak or congested zones.
Design approach
The device measures 8.58mm in thickness and weighs up to 212g. It uses a unibody metallic frame with a Deco module design. The rear coating is designed to resist fingerprints and water, offering a cleaner finish. Colour options include Ice Blue and Olive Green.
