BenQ expands 4K lineup for home entertainment
BenQ has introduced two new 4K home projectors, the TK705i and TK705STi, aimed at households looking for large-screen entertainment without complex installation. The models combine 4K UHD imaging, 3,000 ANSI lumens brightness and a built-in 16W trevolo speaker system.
According to the company, the new offerings are designed for homes balancing work, leisure and streaming habits, using features that reduce setup time and improve day-to-day usability.
Instant alignment for varied room sizes
Both projectors include auto focus, keystone adjustment, screen fit, obstacle avoidance and eye-protection functions, allowing them to align images within seconds. This is intended to support usage in living rooms, bedrooms and smaller apartments.
The TK705i uses a 1.0–1.3x motorised optical zoom for flexible placement in larger spaces. The TK705STi, built with a short-throw design, can project a 100-inch image from 1.8 metres, addressing the needs of multi-purpose rooms.
Rajeev Singh, Managing Director, BenQ India & South Asia, said the aim was to offer a simple, ready-to-use setup that adapts easily to varying home environments.
4K imaging and colour accuracy
Both models use BenQ’s HDR-PRO and CinematicColor technologies, delivering 98 per cent Rec.709 colour accuracy. The company positions the projectors for everyday activities such as streaming OTT content, live sports and movie viewing, without requiring a dedicated theatre room.
Smart features built into the device
The projectors include Google TV and official Netflix integration. Users can access more than 10,000 apps, receive content suggestions and use voice control via Google Assistant. BenQ’s SmartRemote app is supported, offering another control option.
Gaming features with low latency
For gaming, the devices deliver 5ms input lag at 4K/60Hz. They include HDR-FPS and HDR-RPG modes for specific gameplay scenarios. Auto Low Latency Mode and HDMI 2.1 with eARC support consoles including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch and Steam Deck.
Integrated audio and connectivity
Dual 8W chamber speakers with Dolby Audio and Bluetooth 5.2 aim to provide room-filling sound. Connectivity includes HDMI 2.1, eARC and USB-C with 30W power delivery. The projectors are compatible with the BenQ Smart Projector Control App and the BenQ AR Projector Planner for iPhone and iPad.
Pricing and availability
The TK705i and TK705STi will be available through authorised retail and online partners in India from December.
The TK705i is priced at Rs 199,990, while the TK705STi is priced at Rs 2,25,000.
