Monitors for MacBook users expand with BenQ

Monitors for MacBook users are seeing expanded options as BenQ announced the addition of two new models to its MA Series with the launch of the MA270UP and MA320UP. The new displays are positioned to deliver a Mac-consistent visual experience across work, entertainment, and everyday productivity.

The MA Series is designed specifically for MacBook users who rely on a single device for multitasking, including virtual meetings, content consumption, and personal projects. The new models feature 4K IPS Nano Gloss panels and are intended to extend MacBook screens with consistent colour and clarity.

4K displays designed for Mac workflows

The MA270UP is a 27-inch monitor, while the MA320UP offers a 32-inch display. Both models provide 4K UHD resolution at 3840 x 2160 in a 16:9 aspect ratio.

BenQ’s Nano Gloss Panel technology is used to enhance contrast and clarity while preserving colour depth. According to the company, the panels are designed to closely match the native Mac display experience when viewed on a larger screen, with sharper visuals, deeper blacks, and vibrant colours.

macOS-specific colour optimisation

The MA Series is optimised specifically for macOS to ensure consistent colour reproduction between MacBooks and external displays. With iDevice Color Sync, the monitors automatically detect connected MacBook models and apply matching colour profiles.

Additional features such as M-book Mode and ICCsync allow users to maintain colour accuracy while switching between tasks and devices, reducing the need for manual calibration and helping ensure visual continuity across screens.

Simplified connectivity and ergonomic design

Designed to integrate into Apple-centric setups, the monitors support single-cable connectivity through USB-C. A single USB-C connection enables 4K video, data transfer, and power delivery, helping users maintain a cleaner workspace.

Connectivity options include dual USB-C ports with 90W and 15W power delivery, HDMI 2.0, and DisplayPort. The monitors also include intuitive controls for quick adjustments.

For physical comfort, the MA270UP and MA320UP feature an ergonomic stand supporting tilt, swivel, pivot, and height adjustments to accommodate extended usage.

Display performance and specifications

Brightness levels vary between the two models. The MA270UP delivers peak brightness of 450 nits and is certified with VESA DisplayHDR 400, while the MA320UP offers up to 600 nits of peak brightness and VESA DisplayHDR 600 certification.

Company perspective

Commenting on the launch, Rajeev Singh, Managing Director, BenQ India, said MacBook users increasingly rely on a single device for work, meetings, entertainment, and personal use. He said the expanded MA Series gives users the choice between Nano Matte and Nano Gloss panel options while maintaining the same Mac colour-matching experience.

Singh said both options are designed to allow users to extend their MacBook screens with confidence, regardless of viewing preference.
