Kodak Launches First JioTele OS-Powered QLED TV in India
Kodak TV India has introduced its first smart television powered by JioTele OS, marking a significant move in the connected home entertainment segment. The new 43-inch QLED 4K Smart TV is available exclusively on Amazon for ₹18,999 and is designed to deliver a highly personalized and locally relevant viewing experience for Indian consumers.
The launch comes at a time when the demand for region-specific and customizable content is increasing, particularly across India’s linguistically and culturally diverse user base. With more than 32 million connected TV households in the country, the integration of JioTele OS enables Kodak to offer a smart interface that is tailored to Indian preferences.
The QLED TV supports AI-based content recommendations and provides access to over 300 free live TV channels and 300+ JioGames, along with leading global and regional OTT apps through the Jio Store. A dedicated sports page provides real-time access to a wide array of sports content, including cricket, football, Formula 1, and more.
The television features a 43-inch 4K QLED display capable of rendering over 1.1 billion colours, supported by HDR for enhanced contrast and detail. It has a bezel-less AirSlim design that blends easily into modern home aesthetics. Under the hood, the TV is powered by an Amlogic processor, coupled with 2GB RAM and 8GB ROM, for seamless navigation.
Audio capabilities include 40W Dolby Digital Plus stereo speakers, delivering surround sound performance with Dolby Audio technology. Connectivity features include dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, and a multilingual voice-enabled remote with dedicated shortcuts for Netflix, JioCinema, and YouTube.
The TV also supports multiple peripheral devices such as game controllers, keyboards, and headphones, making it a versatile addition to home entertainment setups. The Jio Store hosts over 200 apps spanning categories like entertainment, education, and lifestyle.
According to SPPL CEO Avneet Singh Marwah, the partnership with Jio aims to offer localized, accessible entertainment and help bridge the digital divide in Indian households.
