HP launches HyperX OMEN 15 gaming laptop

The HyperX OMEN 15 gaming laptop marks HP’s latest entry into the high-performance gaming segment in India and is the first notebook launched under the company’s refreshed HyperX gaming identity, unveiled at CES 2026. The launch reflects HP’s effort to unify its gaming portfolio across hardware and software while addressing rising performance demands from gamers.

Powered by the 14th Generation Intel Core i7-14650HX processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Laptop GPU, the HyperX OMEN 15 is positioned for esports, AAA gaming titles, and content creation workloads.

HyperX branding unifies HP’s gaming portfolio

With the introduction of the HyperX OMEN 15 gaming laptop, HP is bringing its gaming laptops, desktops, peripherals, and software under a single HyperX ecosystem. The refreshed branding is designed to deliver a more integrated end-to-end gameplay experience, spanning devices and software tools.

HP said the move aligns with how gaming is evolving into a performance-driven activity that demands reliability, responsiveness, and sustained power over extended sessions.

Performance tuned for competitive gameplay

As gaming workloads become more demanding, HP has focused on low latency and sustained performance in the HyperX OMEN 15. The laptop supports up to 170W Total Processor Power, enabling consistent output during intensive gaming sessions.

A key differentiator is the inclusion of 8K polling rate keyboard technology, which delivers a 0.125ms response time from key press to display. HP said this is intended to give competitive gamers faster input recognition during high-speed gameplay.

AI-driven optimisation and thermal management

The HyperX OMEN 15 gaming laptop integrates OMEN AI and Unleashed Mode to dynamically enhance performance and manage thermals in real time. This allows the system to maintain high frame rates while adjusting power and cooling based on workload.

Thermal performance is handled by OMEN Tempest Cooling, which uses a reversed airflow design to remove dust through the OMEN Gaming Hub. According to HP, this approach helps maintain thermal efficiency and sustained CPU and GPU performance during long gaming sessions.

Display, keyboard, and customisation features

The laptop features a 15.3-inch 2.5K IPS display with a 180Hz refresh rate, 3ms response time, and 500 nits brightness. A 91 percent space-to-body ratio maximises screen area, while 100 percent sRGB coverage supports colour-accurate visuals. Eyesafe certification is included to reduce blue light exposure during extended use.

Personalisation is handled through OMEN Gaming Hub, which allows users to adjust performance, power, and cooling settings. OMEN Light Studio enables per-key RGB customisation and an optional RGB light bar.

The system runs on Windows 11, supporting gaming performance alongside productivity features.

He said the HyperX OMEN 15 brings together high-performance computing and HP’s refreshed HyperX ecosystem to support competitive and immersive gaming experiences.

Pricing and availability

The HyperX OMEN 15 gaming laptop will be available in India through Flipkart and select offline retail channels. Pricing starts at Rs 1,49,999 and the device will be offered in Shadow Black colour.
