HP launches OMEN 16 gaming laptop in India with AI-powered performance

HP has unveiled the OMEN 16, its latest AI-powered gaming laptop in India, designed for gamers who demand high performance, advanced cooling and immersive customisation. The next-gen device is powered by Intel Core Ultra or AMD Ryzen AI processors, paired with up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti 12GB graphics, offering the processing and graphical strength required for modern gaming.

Built with OMEN AI and a new Unleashed Mode, the OMEN 16 adapts in real time to a player’s gaming style, optimising frame rates and thermal performance for stable, uninterrupted gameplay. With support for up to 170W processor power and 115W GPU, the laptop sets a new standard in its category.

The OMEN 16 introduces enhanced thermal engineering, including Tempest Cooling with wider fan gaps, vapor chamber technology and improved heat redistribution. A new self-cleaning fan system, which reverses airflow to remove dust, ensures long-term efficiency. Despite its power, the device runs at just 46 dBA, keeping noise levels low even during extended gaming sessions.

Personalisation and immersive experience

The laptop integrates OMEN Gaming Hub, allowing players to fine-tune system settings, performance modes and cooling preferences. OMEN Light Studio enables personalisation with per-key RGB lighting and an optional light bar, synchronising visuals with the player’s style.

The 16-inch QHD (2560x1600) display offers a 240Hz refresh rate, 3ms response time and 500 nits brightness with 100% sRGB colour accuracy. It is Eyesafe certified to reduce blue light exposure, providing comfort during long gaming sessions. An integrated full HD webcam with noise reduction ensures clarity for streaming and video calls.

The OMEN 16 also features a 6-cell 83Wh battery with HP Fast Charge, delivering up to 50% charge in 30 minutes, making it suitable for on-the-go gaming. Running on Windows 11, the laptop supports productivity features alongside high-end gaming performance.

Sustainable design and availability

In line with HP’s sustainability goals, the OMEN 16 incorporates ocean-bound plastics in its speaker enclosures and bezels, along with post-consumer recycled plastic in its keyboard components. It is ENERGY STAR certified and EPEAT registered.
