Co-branded product targets upgrade-focused listeners

The Headphone Zone x Pula Unicrom is positioned as an accessible step-up option for users moving beyond their first in-ear monitors. According to the company, the product is designed to offer a balance of sound quality, comfort, and build without a significant price increase.

Raghav Somani, Founder and CEO, Headphone Zone, said the Unicrom is aimed at listeners seeking a clear upgrade path without complexity or cost barriers.

Single-driver design with beryllium-coated diaphragm

At the core of the Unicrom is a single 10mm beryllium-coated dynamic driver. The company said the driver choice focuses on coherence and balance rather than multi-driver complexity, delivering controlled bass, defined midrange, and smooth treble.

The in-ear monitor has a frequency response range of 20Hz to 20kHz, sensitivity rated at 101dB SPL/mW, and an impedance of 32 ohms.

Design highlights include wood faceplates

The earphones feature lightweight resin shells paired with stabilised maple wood faceplates. Each unit carries a unique natural grain pattern, resulting in visual variation across individual units.

The co-branded variant is finished in a blue colourway developed exclusively for Headphone Zone.

Comfort-focused shell and cable system

Each shell weighs 6.6 grams per side, with the design intended for extended listening sessions. The Unicrom uses a 0.78mm 2-pin detachable cable made from silver-plated copper.

The modular cable supports interchangeable terminations, allowing users to switch between 3.5mm single-ended and 4.4mm balanced connections.

The retail package includes six pairs of silicone eartips, a premium leatherette carry case with magnetic closure, and both 3.5mm and 4.4mm plugs. The company said the accessory set is designed to support everyday portability and compatibility across devices.

Availability and positioning

The Headphone Zone x Pula Unicrom is available immediately through online channels. With its single-driver configuration, bundled accessories, and co-branded design, the product is positioned as a transitional option for listeners seeking improved sound and build quality without entering higher-priced segments.
