In the last 8 quarters, Lenovo has grown faster than the PC industry, gaining 17.7% market share worldwide and position itself at #3 in PC market. Lenovo has sold 29 mn smart connected devices which comprises of 15 mn smartphones and tablets and 14 mn PCs. In the smartphone industry, Lenovo has emerged as #4 brand globally. In India, Lenovo has made a beginning and expects to gain 5% market share by this year and 10% by next year.

Lenovo Vibe X offers a smart hardware design, rich display and incredible dual cameras in a sleek package. The device is the lightest (121 grams) 5 inch smartphone in the market and also ultra-thin (6.9 mm). It is powered by 5 MP (front) & 13MP (back) camera with couple of editing options to generate profile-worthy images and videos.

The Vibe X comes with some unique apps, such as, Lenovo's "SHAREit", which enables phone-to-phone data transfer in the fastest possible way. At about 4 Mbps, users can exchange pictures, large videos, and complete folders and even share apps without using any data cable or Wi-Fi hub.

Sudhin Mathur, director, smartphones, Lenovo India, said that the Vibe series establishes Lenovo's focus on ergonomics and aesthetics in smartphones. "Vibe X is slimmer and lighter than most phones in its class and packs a slew of unique features, which consumers look for today. We will continue to strengthen this segment."

Lenovo Vibe will be sold at 1400 exclusive Lenovo stores in addition to its existing 7,000 retail IT footprint across 650 cities offered by its national distributors Ingram Micro and Avance Micro. The prebooking is exclusively available on the dostore. Lenovo has introduced its smartphones into select markets such as India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Russia and Ukraine.

The retail price of the premium Lenovo Vibe X smartphone in India is Rs 25,999 and will be available across leading retail outlets soon.
