The channel partners feel that Lenovo has done an excellent job by introducing Black Knight incentive scheme to boost sales growth in the last quarter of the current financial year. The scheme intends to pay monetary reward to channel partner executives who buys directly from Lenovo. The scheme promises to incentivize partners who sell more than twenty laptops within March 2014. The scheme is valid on products like Thinkcentres, Ultrabooks, Workstations, Desktops and Thinkpad laptops.
According to Manoj Misra, Group Business Manager, Neoteric, "This is a good thing and good initiative. This will egg on channel partners to boost sales growth in the last quarter". He explains as IT market has dipped in the recent quarters, this incentive scheme will push partners to go the extra mile and sell Lenovo laptops. The slow growth in IT market has witnessed decrease in demand for laptops and other IT products. Neoteric is the national distributor of Lenovo in India. Another national distributor Sterling Infoways feels the same way about Lenovo's Black Knight scheme. It feels that such channel partner scheme would definitely spike sales growth and enthuse channel partners with the urge to do more business in Lenovo's products. Sandeep Sarkar, Sales Head, Sterling Infoways, says, "It is a great initiative to increase corporate business".
Under the Black Knight scheme, sales executives of partner organisations that record high sales volumes stand a chance to win cash prizes.
