CIITA an association of associations which has been formed by IT associations of several states. Founding members are associations like COMPASS, NECTA, BITA, JITA, ITDAS, NETO, JCWA, CAD, DCDA, ITAO.

Apart from this, North Bengal IT Trader organization is objecting the selection. Also North East Computers Traders Association are supporting NITO for the same.

“Every time presidential post for CIITA is selected, not elected. It shows there is no democracy in the association. It has been seen that committee members of CIITA are selected from COMPASS only. As we are the part of CIITA and we wish for showing concern related to the issue. Also CIITA is not the only property of COMPASS so we don’t want any president for CIITA from COMPASS” said, Manoj Baith, President, NITO.
