Kaspersky to improve its post-sales service

Besides improving post-sales support even in the remote regions of the market, Kaspersky is also strengthening its channel strategies.

Along with its plans to expand its footprint in the tier-2 and tier-3 cities of the country, Kaspersky has its plans set to improve its post sales services even in the remote areas of the country they are operating. Sakri IT Solutions is the national distributor of Kaspersky. "After receiving grievances from our customers and partners about the toll number being always engaged and consumers' problems get unaddressed, hence, we are coming up with an SMS service on a 5 digit number with ‘KIS HELP' to provide immediate post-sales support to our consumers. The new SMS service will be in operation in another 2 weeks," said Jagannath Patnaik, Director - Channel Sales, Kaspersky Lab, South Asia.

Sakri IT Solutions has a 30 seater call centre and the national distributor aspires to increase the count tech support people count to 50 in order to provide customer help when needed. In an interaction with The DQ Week on its plans to reshuffle partners, K Ravi Lakshman, CEO of Sakri IT Solutions explained, "We are not removing any channel partners from our kit. We would be bringing in another category named Sub-Platinum partners under the Platinum partner category who will cater to little more interior regions of the tier-2 towns in the Indian market. And, our Gold partners will be taking the responsibility of tier-3 regions to focus more on the areas where our business is not that strong. We are fortifying strategies by increasing Platinum partner base from 16 to 25 plus to go aggressive on the product distribution in the major places like Bangalore, Bombay, Andhra Pradesh and many more." It is also planning to increase its 250 registered Gold partner base to 400 by the end of this year.

Moreover, under the program Partner Recognition and Incentive Management Application program, Kaspersky has planned to increase its overall partners count by 50 percent. Currently, there are about 2100 registered partners under this program. Also, as per the marketing strategies of Kaspersky, the popularity of its brand ambassador Sachin Tendulkar will be leveraged in all the upcountry regions and expand its brand.
