"The expo is normally planned before Dussera which is one of the most important period of channel trading, as various schemes are floated attracting an increased consumer interest in IT products. We will introduce these schemes in the expo which will continue till the festive season," he added.

Like all the previous expos from JCDA, the association will conduct the same alongwith dealers in the consumer electronics front.

This time, the association will be focusing on the display front (targeted towards the SMB and corporate segment, as Singh said that this is one of the key growing segments in the region. However, the key attraction will be on ultrabooks and gaming devices which have recently generated a lot of interest.

The association, however, has not finalized the dates for the expo or the budget, but is likely to confirm these soon. Also, Singh lauded the efforts put in by The DQ Week Tech Caravan in Ranchi recently.

"Payment defaults in the market are gradually going down which is a very healthy sign for the IT market. Partners in Ranchi now know that they have to conduct their business fairly as there is someone (The DQ Week) on the national front to investigate irregularities," Singh lauded.
