Confed-ITA to work close with Government

The Confederation of Information Technology associations (Confed-ITA) has conducted recently the Annual General body meet and summit in Coimbatore. The new team headed by Mr.Muthaih Pillai assumed office for the next financial year.

Even before assuming office as a president, it is known that Mr.Pillai, as a chairman of the summit has brought innovations through new methodologies for roping the sponsors which are first-of-its-kind. According to that, brands like HP and Lenovo has sponsored. 

Speaking to ‘The DQ Week' for the first time after assuming office, Pillai said "There are lot of small dealers who are struggling even for their day-to-day livelihood. My key objective is to ensure their welfare which can be possible only through having our funds fatter. My team has a target and will achieve that through various revenue-generation activities." Speaking on the projects, he said that the standard projects will be continuing with some customizations made. "For example, the SoUL project has refurbished to ‘ATSHAYAM' through which the recent sponsorships for the summit happened. Lot more will follow in the coming days on the same lines."

On the day one, the exiting team shared their views and submitted all the details expenses and presented a detailed report. "I am very thankful for my team and all the EC members for giving me the opportunity to serve you and I had given all the promises that has been assured", said B Kuberan, former president of the association.

On the day two, the new office bearers assumed office. The outgoing office bearers reviewed the performance of each association. Based on the review, ACT-T (Association of Computer Traders Trichy) has been awarded ‘The Best Association award' for the last fiscal. Apart from the regular meetings, there were also entertainment sessions. A skit, conceptualized by K.P.Mutharasu, on the pathetic situation of the channel partners was played by N.Jayaprakash and his team attracted everyone.

More than fice-hundred members of the association along with representatives of the associations from Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and Karnataka participated.
