CMDA all set for 15th IT Expo

The event will feature three zones namely, Open, Enterprise, and Security and surveillance zone

Pune-based Computers and Media Dealers association (CMDA) is gearing up to conduct its 15th consecutive IT Expo at the city's Agriculture College from December 7 to 10, 2012.

Deepak Agarwal, secretary, CMDA said, "CMDA's IT Expo is much awaited event in Pune. This is the biggest and only IT show in Pune. The main objective of CMDA' IT Expo is to promote latest technology. CMDA provides neutral platform to all IT vendors to showcase their latest technologies." He further added, "The visitors include industrial visitors, government officials, educational institute officials, software industry experts, small and medium scale companies, college students, residential users."

The last IT Expo observed a significant turnout of over 40,000 visitors. This year, the association is expecting at least 5,000 corporate and business visitors besides 3,5000 plus consumer visitors.

The Expo will be hosting two hangars with 4000 sq mt exhibition area along with an option of open space allotment. "We have 1850 sq mt area for display and all the major brand had participated like Digisol, Logitech, Intex , Apple, IBM, Lenovo, Samsung, Canon, HP, Acer, Intel, Dell and more,"Agarwal informed.

CMDA, this time, has divided the IT Expo into three zones namely, Open, Enterprise, and Security and surveillance zone. While Enterprise Zone will host the corporate and business personnel who are into data security, storage , servers, racks, plotters, and many more, Open zone will represent PC's, tablets, laptops, printers, servers, networking products, UPS, monitors, netbooks, digital cameras, scanners, antivirus software, consumables, touch pads and many such latest gadgets,besides, IT solutions. Security and surveillance zone will feature CCTV, security solutions, biometric devices, etc.

Furthermore, the IT Expo will also conduct 12 + technical seminars, in addition to a CIO conference, and an award night to exhibitors. There will also be a free service camp for visitors. Agarwal said, "To create a nostalgic environment and to share some technology history, we will be showcasing computers and parts from year 1980 to 2000."
