Follow UsThe DQ Week's Tech Caravan reached Coimbatore on the 13th May to enthrall Coimbatore channel partners.
The event was organized at Hotel Mangala International in association with Microsoft and was supported by Coimbatore IT Association (ClITA), the apex body of IT trade in Coimbatore.
The event was marked by senior partners from the city and the key committee members of the association. Even before the event started, channel partners had begun networking amongst each other as well as with representatives from Microsoft. Ulaganath Muthu of Microsoft was present at the event.
The event started off with Muthu of Microsoft taking the stage to talk about what cloud and its benefits. He talked about the fundamentals of cloud software and how Microsoft cloud operates.
Outlining the benefits of cloud for customers, Muthu cited that there can be various savings in terms of servers, maintenance, conversion into capex to opex and etc. He also presented an interesting and in-depth session on Office 365 highlighting the benefits of the solutions while citing various examples on how partners can utilize these solutions for their overall revenue growth.
Muthu also showcased in detail the four pillars of Office 365 including MS Exchange Online, MS Lync Online, MS Share Point Online, and MS Office Pro plus.
He also explained various plans that can be availed by channel partners as per the requirements of their customers. Furthermore, the attendees of the event were presented with a demo of Office 365.
Post the presentation, Ulaganath Muthu further addressed the queries of the audience in detail wherein a few of them went on to become interesting discussion on how to utilize the Microsoft offerings.
Partners felt that though cloud computing is yet to catch up in Coimbatore eventually it is where lies the future of IT.
Following this, networking dinner was hosted, where partners interacted with others while a few of the channel partners were seen discussing with the vendor representatives
