Tech Caravan Goa: Partners show keen interest in Office 365

The Tech Caravan reached the holiday destination of India, Goa on the 22nd of April. The latest in the series of Tech Caravan saw a congregation of close to 35 channel partners at Hotel Country Inn & Suites.

The DQ Week Tech Caravan was organized in association with Microsoft and was supported by Goa IT Business Association (GIBA), which is the apex body of IT trade in Goa. The local channel partners associated with GIBA turned up in a significant number and members of GIBA committee had turned up to attend the event. Pramod Tailor, relationship manager, Microsoft started off the event by asking partners to keep the discussion interactive.

The partners in this region were well aware of the Office 365 making the presentation very interactive. The Microsoft representative discussed with channel partners on how to increase business and various avenues to tap through Office 365. Tailor discussed as well as showcased at length the various pricing and combos that a channel partner can avail to sell MS Office 365.

The entire presentation was more like a healthy discussion where a lot of questions were answered and a lot of new ideas were shared and discussed.

Following this, the dice was taken up by Sudheer Prabhu, secretary of GIBA who shared his thoughts on threats from e-commerce portals and certain other local market challenges. The channel partners voiced out in numbers their concern with regard to this and also expressed their thoughts on how to counter these problems. There were a lot of interesting suggestions that channel partners discussed making the entire discussion very fruitful.

Following this, was the networking dinner, where partners interacted with others while a few of the channel partners were seen discussing with the vendor representatives.
