Lexar Tops India’s Camera Memory Card Market in Q1 2025
Lexar has emerged as one of the top brands in India’s camera memory card market, according to the CMR Consumer Storage Flash Devices Report for Q1 CY2025. The company holds a 69% market share in the CFexpress card segment and commands 36% share by value in the SD card category, making it the top brand by value across both segments.
CFexpress Growth Fuels Market Leadership
The adoption of CFexpress cards, which are widely used in professional digital cameras for 4K and 8K video content creation, has accelerated in India. Lexar’s dominance in this fast-growing segment reflects the increasing preference for high-performance storage among photographers, videographers, and content creators.
“Achieving the No.1 position in India’s camera memory card market highlights our strategic focus and growing relevance among professionals,” said Fissal Oubida, General Manager – India, Middle East, and Africa, Lexar. He added that India remains a key market for the company’s expansion plans.
Product Range and Channel Network
Lexar’s position in the market is supported by a portfolio of products that includes CFexpress, SDXC, microSD cards, card readers, and portable SSDs, aimed at professional workloads and high-resolution media handling. The brand’s storage solutions offer a range of capacities and are designed for durability, including weather-sealed and shock-resistant models.
The company’s products are available through national distribution partners such as Redington, Creative NewTech, and Supertron Electronics, which together support a wide channel presence across India.
Lexar’s growth aligns with the rising demand for reliable and high-speed storage in India’s expanding content creation, imaging, and media industries.
