In an effort to fuel channel growth in the Indian subcontinent, Brocade recently appointed Iris Computers as its national distributor.
Charlie Foo, vice president, asia pacific, Brocade said, "India is one of the most important markets for the company. As a company, we are selective about our partners. Till recently, we had Redington as our distributor. However, to further fuel our growth in this market we have roped in Iris computers as a national key distributor in June."
The company spokesperson informed that Iris will be primarily driving the distribution of all high performance IP products namely, NetIron MLX, newly launched ICX series and VDX products. The key focus areas of Brocade are FSI and IT/ITeS verticals. In addition, the company is exploring opportunities in education and media/entertainment verticals.
The national distributor, Iris Computers recently crossed Rs 1,000 crore plus overall revenue mark. The company attributes this growth to brands like Lenovo, IBM, Acer, Samsung and Dell. In the most recent addition, Swiss IT security provider for home and enterprises, Defenx, had announced its exclusive tie-up with Iris Computers, wherein Iris will distribute Defenx's entire range of security products.
