ASIRT 'evolves' at Techday

The event conducted two sessions on 'evolve', the new program by ASIRT

ASIRT recently conducted its Techday -August 2012 that sent some compelling messages for the IT system integrators across India. The event inaugurated its first 'Evolve' session and touched on some key areas like the importance of costs, finance management and making profit from business.

The event started with the first session on 'Evolve', the new program by ASIRT, by financial wizard, Prakash Agarwal, well known as Virtual CFO. He clearly brought out the problem areas for retailers and service providers and gave tips and mantras for success in the industry. Agarwal pointed out the common mistakes usually made by the partners and provided them with solutions and strategies on how to cope with them. He also emphasized on why partners should know their service costing well to really formulate their strategies.

ASIRT gold sponsor member Netgear focused its talk on their POE line of switches and products. Harshal Charya from Netgear offered special hand-holding for sales, joint pitching to end-customers for Netgear products through their distributor Hallmark Systems, a promise reiterated by Devang Thakore of Hallmark. Harshal also committed enhanced technical support for all ASIRT members for entire range of Netgear products.

The second 'Evolve session 'Deep Sea' was conducted by president Kshitij M Kotak that questioned several existing business practices, followed trends, methods of work, herd mentality amongst others; he questioned almost every fundamental aspect that plagues IT Support industry. It was announced that ASIRT will provide tools for each businessman in the room to evolve answers to the questions raised instead of serving a sermon of what they should do.
