Gujarat based Ahmedabad Computer Merchant Association (ACMA) concluded its 9th ACMA ICT show 2013 from 19th to 21st April 2013. The event was held at Gujarat University Exhibition Center, Drive in Road, Ahmedabad.
Commenting on this, Narendra Bhetaria, president, ACMA said, "This year we had more than 100 IT companies participating in the ICT Show. This year we witnessed more than 30,000 plus visitors over the span of three days." He further added, "The quality of visitors were relevant to the type of expo we were conducting."
The highlight of this years' IT expo was the theme based pavilions which showcased next generation IT products, Cyber gaming competition and e-waste collection center.
Bhetaria said, "Theme based pavilions did witness the most footfalls. Also, the Cyber gaming competition was held for which we received appreciation as well as positive response from the attendees."
ACMA ICT Show had set up its e-waste collection center which collected 3 metric tonne waste, informed Bhetaria. He further said, "It was managed by a government approved firm called eco- sarjan. They were responsible for the collection as well as safe disposal of the collected e-waste. In addition, they also offered companies to provide them with certification after following the required procedures."
The ACMA ICT Show also hosted the convention organized by CIO Club of Gujarat at the same venue. Also, it was the host for FITAG convention and Awards 2013. The association gave prizes to several companies at the last day of the expo. The association gave prizes to several companies at the last day of the expo. The awards were given for 5 different categories such as theme pavilion, auxiliary section, education section, enterprise solutions section and IT & hardware section. In total the association gave out 21 awards under sections like best display stall, best innovative stall, best informative and visitor engagement stall and more.
