Acer supports consumers in green initiative program

As a part of the Green Initiative program, Acer kicked-off a major initiative to Go Green and help reduce carbon emissions through IT hardware products. Through this initiative, Acer's mission is to raise the green consciousness among its users.

Through its channel partner program, Acer celebrates the Go green initiative by giving away 40 saplings to its partners. Started as a pilot initiative at a channel partner meet in Chennai, this unique initiative was well received by partners and employees alike. Acer has announced to take this initiative across India to create awareness on the importance of providing environmentally friendly solutions.

Speaking on the occasion, S Rajendran, chief marketing officer, Acer India said, "Global warming is among the most serious international environmental protection issues humanity. As one of the world's leading providers of technology, we recognize our responsibility. So as a responsible corporate citizen we have started this powerful green awareness movement that will create a valuable environmental impact and create awareness amongst all our stakeholders."

Acer's green initiative is aimed at making the consumers and associates understand the importance of the environment more effectively. Energy efficiency, carbon reduction, and working towards a sustainable planet will be the focal point of major industries in the near future. This initiative reflects Acer's long-standing commitment towards going green.
