ZyXEL sets-up India Liaison Office in Mumbai

Communications Corporation, the networ­king and information secu­rity product
manufacturing major recently announced that it has set up an India liaison
office in Mumbai and appointed Milind Kamat, a distinguished networking and
security industry expert, as its Principal Represen­tative for the country. The
India liaison office under Kamat's aegis will drive ZyXEL's India initiative
and is in accordance with the com­pany's strategy to position itself
aggressively in the region underscoring its com­mitment to the growing Indian
market.

ZyXEL
has had a long pre­sence in India through its established channel and has now
restructured its opera­tions in the country to stren­g­then its presence
further and provide enhanced sales and technical support to its partners besides
better service to customers. Kamat, Principal Representative for ZyXEL in India
brings with him an exhaustive experi­ence networking and infor­mation security
industry apart from a strong base of consultants from the domain.

Commenting on this development during his
recent visit to India, Austin Huang, Business Develop­ment Manager, ZyXEL Com­munications
Corpora­tion said, “We are very con­fident that this new structure will
produce a quick turnaround and steady results for ZyXEL in the years to come.
India is a very strategic market considering ZyXEL's long-term business
interests in the APAC region. As we fore­see an increased demand for our
products, especially the new Universal Threat Mana­gement (UTM) range, besides
the existing Ethernet and ADSL products which are already well entrenched in the
Indian market, it is an appropriate time to set up an India liaison office.”
