Yahoo launches its new Beta version

At a recent
event in Bengaluru,Yahoo launched Yahoo Mail Beta which is an
advanced version of the existing platform. The new version has plenty
of new features like spam control, instant social network updation,
automatic slideshow etc. Kakul Srivastava, VP, Communications and
Communities Product Management said, “We have revamped the entire
platform and made it extremely user friendly. Yahoo Mail Beta
improvises the communication platform through improved instant
messaging and texting tools right from the inbox.”

Chief Product Office, Yahoo said, “Online communication tools are
important part of people's lives whether they are connecting with
their friends or family.” Arun Tadanki, MD, Yahoo India added, “We
have lot of new internet users who want to navigate easily and have a
comfortable user experience. Yahoo Mail Beta will significantly
enhance this experience.” Incidentally Yahoo is the first company
to create voice and video conferencing facilities on android phones.
Elaborating on it Srivastava said, “Since it is cloud enabled, the
accessibility and speed has been two times faster. We have added more
gaming applications also to attract traffic. It has moved to more
personal relevant communication tool.” The company has
used open mail platform to create this application and is banking
heavily on the social networking user base.
