Xerox’s big plans for South

Printing leader Xerox is having very big plans for Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and Andhra Pradesh. The vendor is also planning to expand the channel presence in South by appointing new partners and providing value-additions for the existing partners.

Speaking to ‘The DQ Week', M Venkat Rao, Regional Head (South), Xerox India, said, "At present we are having 76 partners in the four states and we want to make the count to 100 by the end of this year. We have segregated our partners as Sales partners and SSP partners and we are planning to increase our reach through the channel partners." Telling that Xerox is a 100% channel-dependant company, he said that the South channel partners constitute 30% of the total channel strength. He also said that the company's focus would be on graphic communications, enterprise and SMB.

Among the states in South, he said, that Kerala is the state where Xerox is performing well. "Andhra Pradesh is a high market for us followed by Tamil Nadu and Karnataka", he says further adding that the partner is planning to conduct seven city events in South cities like Vizag, Coimbatore, Hubli, Trivandrum and more. "We recently conducted Xerox partner league (XPL) and interesting fact was the winner of the XPL hails from Hyderabad and there are many partners in the top list in South.", he said. He also added that face-to-face training sessions are provided for the channel partners apart from the online training portals. Speaking on the margins, he said that, Xerox is always concerned about the channel partners and the company has no second thought on investing for the channel partners.
