Xerox India hosted a twoday road show - Inno­vate 2005, in Delhi and Mum­bai on November 8 and No­ve­m­ber 10, 2005 respec­tively. Targeted at graphic arts, commercial printers, direct marketing, advertising companies and corporate, the road show was designed to showcase Xerox's innova­tions in the digital printing business.

Xerox took this opportu­nity to announce the launch of its latest color solutions, the DocuColor240/250 prin­ter-copier for color intensive environments. 

Priced at Rs 24,995, the DocuColor240/250 offers sharp printing and copying at 2400 x 2400 dpi. Depen­ding on the customer's existing workflow, Xerox offers the choice of CREO, EFI and DocuColor SP contro­llers/servers with the Docu­Color240/250.

With a standard total pa­per capacity of 3,260 sheets, DocuColor240/250 has a large, full-color touch screen and stores scanned files in file formats like TIFF, JPG and PDF. Speaking on the occa­sion, Vipin Tuteja, Produc­tion Systems Group Director, Xerox India said, "Digital printing is fast catching up and Indian customers are realizing the benefits of Print-on-Demand. We expect Print-on-Demand market to grow to 15 percent in 2006. The new solutions launched are targeted at segments like prepress, graphic arts provi­ders and corporate." 

He added that currently more than 16 of Xerox's channel partners are selling this product.
