India has launched four technology platforms in color — laser, LED,
solid ink, and inkjet giving customers a wide choice of printing
solutions to improve efficiency, enhance productivity, and reduce the
overall TCO. As part of this, the company has introduced four color
printers and production equipment. These include Xerox WorkCentre
7120 Multifunction System, Xerox ColorQube 9201/9202/9203
Multifunction Systems, Xerox 7142 and Xerox 8364E Color Wide Format
Printers. The launch also includes Xerox's patented solid ink
technology platform. Solid ink is a color printing technology that
uses solid sticks or blocks of no-mess, non-toxic ink instead of
toner or inkjet cartridges.

Horne, MD, Xerox India said,
“Xerox's strength has been as a technology innovator having
ushered multiple technology revolutions in the printing industry.
Today, we create yet another industry milestone by offering four
technology platforms under one roof, an industry which is first in
giving consumers a wide choice of technologies to choose from.”

range of color printers are targeted at SMBs, enterprises and graphic
arts community and will accelerate the color adoption in offices.
With the ColorQube, depending on the usage, the cost of printing in
color can reduce to as little as 50paise per print that was never
possible in the industry until now.

company also believes that this announcement will bring a host of
opportunities to its channel partners as well. Says, Vipin Tuteja,

Business, Xerox India “One of the key focus areas of our new
go-to-market strategy is to expand our geographical presence and
expand our partner base across the country. We will look at tier-2
and tier-3 cities for this expansion. We have equipped our partners
with tools and expertise-be it training or collateral support to

extremely closely with our partners. And the growth has been mutually
beneficial. Through our partner engagement program, we have looked
into partner profitability and that they get the best margins. At the
same time, we ensured that our customers get the best value

solution offering and have focused on all segments and key verticals
such as corporate, enterprise, government, SMB, and graphic arts
community.”
face="Times New Roman, serif">The
product development is aligned to the market dynamics and the trend
of office printing has moved from A4 to A3, single function to
multi-function, ink to laser and b/w to color.
face="Times New Roman, serif">Over
the next few years, Xerox India will continue to expand the partner
base pan-India, particularly in places which are still not adequately
covered. With its partner engagement model, the company ensures that
its channel partners are well trained and are equipped with
collaterals to enable them to sell Xerox products and services.
face="Times New Roman, serif">With
support from channel partners and three concrete growth planks ie
driving enterprise customers towards business efficiency solutions,
being a technology provider for channel partners in the solution
space for mid-market and government, and aligning the channel
training needs to drive solution selling approach within existing
partners and new partners, Xerox India is poised for a growth story
in 2010.
