Kolkata-based hardware manufacturer Xenitis Infotech is contem-plating to go
public next year. The company expects to cross the Rs 500 crore mark in
reve-nues next year and to further pump-in money for expansion, it plans to go
for the IPO.
Xenitis Group, Director Thathagata Dutta said, "Once we cross Rs 500
crore mark next year we will go for IPO as we would be needing mone-tary support
to fuel further growth." The company, which is into PC manufacturing right
now, is planning to open offices in Delhi and in the Southern region soon. The
Delhi region would cover some parts of UP also. The company had generated a
revenue of Rs 150 crore last year and is expecting Rs 300 crore revenue this
year.
The company is expanding its manufacturing facility in Hooghly to an area of
two lakh square feet, and to start with, it would employ around 2,000 people. It
plans to manufacture monitors, cabinet cases and other computer peripherals. The
company also intends to export these products to Middle East and Europe and
plans to manu-facture for OEMs as well.
Recently, the company ente-red into an agreement with China based Unitek
Computers to manufacture computer cases, media chips, peripherals such as
keyboard, CDROM drives, CD-DVD drives, spea-kers, home theatres etc. This JV is
named as Unitek Xenitis Worldwide.
The company also has a Technolab division that trains professionals in
hardware, networking, network admini-stration and security manage-ment services.
It currently has six centers in West Bengal and plans to have 30 such centers by
March this year and 100 by the end of this year all across the country.
