Wondersoft rolls out retail solution

Chennai-based retail solutions provider Wondersoft has launched a new
web-based retail solution, similar to that of the emerging SAAS model. Titled as
'eShopaid', the solution requires no physical installation in any PC apart from
the server and is claimed to be ideal for all retail chains.

“The solution can be installed on a server in the main branch of the retail
outlet or any remote place, and can be accessed from anywhere by using a web
browser. Without using physical resources, one can easily get the work done by
deploying a broadband connection,” informed, TR Ramaswamie, Marketing Manager,
Wondersoft. Due to security and encryption reasons, the access to the solutions
has been made through the web browser, he said.

In absence of Internet, the outlet can still stay connected to the solution
through Intranet. “We have customized the solution in a manner that the outlet
located at anywhere would be able to access the software, even in absence of
Internet connectivity and the database would get updated post-connectivity
restoration,” Ramaswamie said. The approximate cost for the service for an
outlet would be Rs 2,500 per month, he further informed.

From its inception in 1996, the company is focused on providing solutions in
the area of application software such as retail outlet automation, distribution
management (wholesalers, stockists, super-stockists and C&F agents), hospital
manage­ment system, and diagnos­tic center management system. “We have a
thorough understanding of the trade, both retail and
distribution-pharma­ceuti­cals, FMCG, textiles, through hands-on experience. Our
group has a very strong foothold in the pharma trade with retail outlets and has
around 4,000 customers in the retail front,” Ramaswamie averred.

It may be noted that Wondersoft has strategic tie-up with TVS-E for its POS
products and is a part of TVS-E's retail solutions forum, which was launched
recently.
