Wipro e Peripheral reveals new channels strategy

In the recently held dealers meet, Wipro ePeripherals revealed the new impetus for the channel partners to accelerate its growing market share. Also launched three new products, targeted at various consumer segments. This is the initiation of their strategy to launch a new product every quarter. All the new products have been aligned with their new found strategy to fortify the present market share with value added services along with a strong service.

Their four pronged strategy focuses at creating a greater brand equity in the market through the channels sales. With 70 percent of revenues coming from the WeP dealers, it is for sure falling in their list of priorities. Value addition to the present range of product to increase the total profit is their first focus. Other foci includes introducing regional languages Line printers. E-enabling its operational process, thus letting various dealers interact in a more swifter manner. With the recent acquisition of Godrej and Boyce, such activities will be on full throttle to acquire some more like companies.

Their future expansion plans include introduction of a wider range of DMPs and also to release a mobile printer. Storage business has been identified as the major business proposition. There will be various mobile storage devices introduced, to start with a Pen Drive was launched. Giving high end storage solutions is also becoming a part of their focus. Will also provide a complete range of laser printers to the market.

The value added services will include 'Print and Save', where corporate can lease printers for the required period and can return it once the work is done. E-storage is also one service, which the envisage to provide, giving an online storage space. It is also introducing UPS batteries.

New products includes a Pen Drive, UPS and a Laser Printer. The Pen Drive is a versatile and convenient USB device, which can store and manage data on the move. It lets the user to edit, erase or add files directly into it. It supports Window 98 and above and is having storage capacity of 16/32/64 MB. The laser printer launched is a small workgroup printer, monochrome and has 10 ppm speed with a resolution on 600 dpi.

Three innovative reseller schemes were unveiled in the meet. Tarun Kumar Nehra, Channel Sales Manager, Wipro ePeripherals, said "We want to have innovative and quick benefit reaping schemes for our resellers as we want resellers to get their due profit as soon as possible and thus create no unwanted cash flow blocks."

Hafta Vasool is a weekly point earn scheme for the complete range. Once a reseller accumulates more than 25 points, it becomes eligible to be a Wipro authorized reseller and earns a gold coin scheme is a bundle purchase scheme for their DMPs, which lets a reseller earn 1gm gold coin on the respective purchases. The Jodi#1 scheme runs for their UPS range, and lets the reseller earn cash rewards on various bundle purchases. The Chandi hi Chandi scheme involves a reward of 100 gms of silver on every bundle purchase of Pen Drives.

With these strategies, as per Ranbir Singh, Wipro ePeripherals , "Creating a large range of product along with bullish strategies will surely bring in the desired results, as they are very apparent from the recent trends. Storage also is one area, where we will be vary active. I wish these efforts will be well received by the reseller community."
