Westcon starts India ops

Westcon, a US-based distributor in the IT sector, announced that it is
spreading its operations in the Indian sub continent as well. The multi-national
company with operations spanning all continents, with 1,600+ employees, is
beginning its India operations this month, said a press release.

Westcon's Indian Headquarter would be in Bengaluru whereas it would have
regional offices in over nine locations including Sri Lanka, the release said.

Westcon India plans to train the SI partners in these technologies in order
to ready them for the present and future market requirements, it added.
