WeP Peripherals crosses the 100,000 UPS mark

IT peripherals solutions and services enterprise WeP Peripherals Ltd (new name of Wipro ePeripherals Ltd) has crossed the 100,000 UPS mark. Out of these total sales of 100,000 units, about 80 percent would constitute Emerge 500 VA category, while the remaining unit sales would be of Emerge 600 VA, 650 VA and 1 KVA categories.

WeP had commenced manufacturing of UPS at the Hyderabad unit last year and the company has made significant investments in terms of manpower, R&D and material resources in this direction.

Talking about the milestone, K Chandrasekhar, Business Manager (Channel and UPS), WeP Peripherals, said, “We are the only Indian company to have achieved this mark of 100,000 UPS in such a short span of time. And we were able to do so because of our widespread channel strength.” He further added, “WeP has continuously understood customer needs and during the last six months has come out with new innovative products such as Emerge 600VA for two PC applications and Emerge 550G - the only UPS to protect PC even with a generator. During this period, customers from 272 locations across the country have bought emerge UPS.”
