WD To Focus Tamil Nadu Markets For Its Black Drives

Storage solutions provider Western Digital (WD) is looking to grow its base by 15 percent in Tamil Nadu this year. With an eye on the educational hub and concentration of SMEs, WD wants to see good response for its WD range of Black drives, which the company launched in this part of the country.

Storage solutions provider Western Digital (WD) is looking to grow its base by 15 percent in Tamil Nadu this year. With an eye on the educational hub and concentration of SMEs, WD wants to see good response for its WD range of Black drives, which the company launched in this part of the country.

The Black drive is for high-level speed performance, and will be available in capacities varying from 400 Giga Bits (GB) to 4 TB (Tera Bits). The Black drive offers the customer the best possible mix of capacity, performance and reliability to handle intense desktop computing with ease, making them perfect for gaming, high performance desktop systems and workstations.

Presnetly, WD has various range of internal desktop drives include WD Blue drive (for everyday computing), WD Green drive (energy saving), WD Red drive (for RAID environment), WD Purple (a surveillance-class hard drive) and the newly introduced WD Black (for gaming and high speed computing).

"Consumers here are demanding drives that give them not just storage capacity, but the convenience of replacement in an eventuality. We have a unique warranty and replacement service - WD Express, to ensure that users can opt for pick up and drop of WD products at their residence or avail the replacement at WD's drop-points in the State,' the company's spokesperson said.
