WatchGuard Technologies announced that it has increased its partner base by more than 25% in the past quarter as part of its focus on meeting demand in the fast-growing Indian network security market. The growth comes as a result of a series of events in tier1 and tier 2 cities across India to recruit newer partners and educate network security professionals on the changing needs of security in terms of blended threats, which require multi-function, multi-layered solutions.
"The Indian Unified Threat Management (UTM) market is expected to grow by double digits over the next three years as more and more companies benefit from UTM's lower total cost of ownership," said Scott Robertson, VP, Asia Pacific, WatchGaurd. "We're committed to educating potential partners and customers about the benefits of UTM, and we're proud of the quality of our existing base of partners. The interest and growth in our partner base as a result of these events, only serves to illustrate the market opportunity in India, and the industry's confidence in the market opportunity WatchGuard solutions represent," he added.
WatchGuard already works with more than 120 partners across India, including 60 WatchGuard Secure Partners (WSPs). Through sales trainings, webinars, hands-on technical trainings, all channel partners are fully trained on WatchGuard security solutions to leverage best-in-class security to ensure dedicated and efficient service, support and advice.
The WSP program is a leading partner program in the region and offers the ability to participate at expert, professional or associate partner levels. "The WSP program delivers all essential resources for the partners to build revenue, stay ahead of the competition, and increase profitability. In the next step, the new partners will undergo the certifications and sales and technical trainings before they become WSP," added Mohit Puri, country manager, WatchGuard, India/SAARC.
"Potential partners looking to represent WatchGuard Technologies should contact www.WatchGuard.com or the India office. We intend to continue the drive to add more proficient partners and further expand to newer cities in India in future," said Robertson.
