WatchGuard appoints Scott Robertson to lead Asia-Pacific market

WatchGuard Technologies, a global leader in business security solutions, announced the appointment of Scott Robertson from Country Manager, Australia/New Zealand to VP, Asia Pacific Sales. In this new role, Robertson will oversee WatchGuard's Asia Pacific sales, which includes general oversight of South Korea, Japan, South East Asia, Australia, New Zealand, China and India.

Robertson replaces Terry Haas who is stepping down for personal reasons.

"This new role offers an exciting opportunity for me to extend the outstanding experience I have gained in the Australia/New Zealand market to not only sustain, but significantly boost our success in the Asia Pacific region," Robertson said.

Robertson, who has been with WatchGuard for five years, is cited for consistently and significantly growing WatchGuard's presence in the Australia/New Zealand markets. He has 20 years' experience in the IT industry and prior to joining WatchGuard he was the GM, Asia Pacific for CRYPTOCard, where he held overall responsibility for the organization's establishment and business growth in the region, including customer acquisition, marketing and partner development.

Robertson has worked in various sales and marketing management capacities with leading vendors such as Red Hat Asia Pacific, Microsoft and Visio.
